What changed recently
A running record of new features, improvements, and fixes shipped across the ema platform.
1.3.5
New Feature
Improvement
Fix
Recording delivery, directory curation, and presentation playback
- Meeting recordings are now delivered reliably, including when the organising organisation is set up under a different name from its workspace
- Directory curation shares the navigation, page styling and form feedback of the main ema workspace, and sign-in hand-off between them is more reliable
- Growing directories keep their complete lists and exports as they get larger
- Staff can open an organisation's workspace directly, even when their verified account was first created through platform sign-in — existing users and sessions are kept
- Uploaded presentations are prepared for browser playback, with a private preview for your team, admin review of submitted files, and public playback once a presentation is published
- Reports support question-based breakdowns, grouped buckets, report parameters and summary lines, so custom reports can answer more of your questions without a manual export
- API keys belonging to an operator organisation can now see custom project reports
- Concurrent edits to hire products and their relations no longer clash with each other

Booking changes, programme publishing, and table exports
- Review ticket, add-on, transfer and cancellation changes against the event's amendment policy, available places and current balances before confirming
- Manage every group seat from the group details page and name placeholder invites
- Set price tiers to change over at an exact time in the event's timezone — no gap and no overlap between tiers
- Add-ons bought after registration are activated on card payment, can be put on a payment plan, and are billed to whoever checks out — not the original registrant
- The add-on purchase wizard no longer re-asks for the registration form and shows what the attendee already holds, including any units awaiting payment
- API keys can be delegated: grant the "Service accounts" permission to a custom role so managing keys no longer requires platform-administrator access
- Tables remember your column layout and page size across navigation, and you can export the full matching list to CSV or Excel
- Schedule, reschedule, unschedule and duplicate broadcast emails with a deliberate step, with improved previews and more consistent rendering
- Publish programme content consistently across every reader, and give venue operators clearer speaker-preparation and holding-screen controls
- Permission errors now name the missing permission and how to request it, instead of showing "Something went wrong"
- Emails render more consistently in Windows Outlook with corrected fonts, spacing, and button styling
- Pressing Enter now submits sign-in forms from any field across every sign-in surface

Fix
Data import, on-site device updates, and budget consistency
- Contacts, companies, and around fifty other record types can now be imported from a file — map your columns to ema's fields once, preview what will happen before anything is written, then run it or put it on a schedule for files you produce regularly
- On-site devices now update themselves — room devices and kiosks apply signed updates in a quiet window, verify them first, and roll back automatically if an update does not complete
- A device with no update schedule is given a maintenance window automatically, so no device is left without a path to stay current
- Updates can also be applied immediately from the device's service menu
- Every device now reports the version it is actually running, so a device that has fallen behind is visible before it matters during a session
- Lectern alerts now reach the control desk instead of staying on the device where only the speaker would see them
- A speaker presenting from their own laptop now shows as ready in the control desk, and going live offers to switch to the room's external input — making the handover deliberate
- Budget actuals now come from one place — every budget surface reads the same figure for a deal, so a summary and a detail page cannot show different numbers for the same client
- Email types can now be turned off for a single event from the email templates page, without touching the template or affecting any other event
- Registration flow steps can now be turned on and off independently, so the path an attendee takes matches how your event actually sells
- Commission differences now post to the ledger automatically — a surplus as money owed to the hotel, a shortfall written down
- Poll voting and results are now scoped to the event the poll belongs to
- Fixes to registration invoice references, invoicing emails, credit notes, accommodation prepurchase pricing, purchase order matching across currencies, and several money-rendering issues

Guided onboarding, registration flow redesign, M365 meetings, and Comments Explorer
- A guided onboarding path: 33 outcome journeys grouped by phase, filtered by event type and role, each linking to the docs that teach it
- Microsoft 365 meetings now sync to SharePoint and calendar, with ema-native transcripts, AI-generated summaries, and action items
- Comments Explorer lets you browse and search comments across all records in one place
- Comment notification emails now send reliably
- Registrants complete the registration form before seeing add-ons, keeping the flow in the right order
- Add-on guest forms get their own step instead of crowding the review page
- A group manager can hand any seat's form directly to the person filling it, instead of completing it on their behalf
- Organisers can embed add-on selection directly inside registration forms with conditional logic
- Single-choice add-on groups swap with one click — no need to deselect first
- Brand the registration flow with full-width banner and footer images
- Theme settings that previously saved but had no effect — secondary colour, input border, letter spacing, and shadow — now apply to the public event site
- The "Public navigation brand" setting no longer resets after saving
- Outlook add-in improvements: AI-drafted replies, project suggestions when linking emails, meeting notes with clear attribution, and an improved in-pane assistant
- Custom fields, record types, and field history in the CRM — track any data point unique to your events
- Group discount tier selection: registrants see tier cards, pre-filled group size, and advisory notes based on their group
- Prices and totals are now resolved consistently across registration, exhibitor checkout, and reporting
- Per-field help text in the form builder
- Dashboard tiles for overdue and due-soon tasks now link directly to the tasks page
- Org-level documents and executed contract PDFs can be downloaded from the portal
- Speaker slides can now be presented directly from ema — in the room, on an ePoster screen, or in a browser — with every screen paired and monitored from one Device Fleet page
- Cancelling an exhibitor now releases their booth, revokes portal access, and reverses entitlements in one action
- Exhibitor meetings can now be enabled from the portal tab, with admin oversight
- Notification email CTAs now link to real pages in every case
- System emails are redesigned and branded: your header, footer, and brand colour now appear on every confirmation, invoice, reminder, and notification — no configuration required. Subject lines have changed on most registration emails.
